Nice
Adding salt and/or alcohol to the water and substituting dry ice to cool the water would lower the temperature even more. Even more efficiency would be achieved by using a two, three or four row automotive aluminum radiator core. After all, this is what they are made for.
Thanks for showing us how you did this! I'm going to add one thing and that may make a difference to some of us, and that is checking for the rotation arc of the caster mechanism so that it stays within the footprint of the platform. That's something that may help get multiple platforms closer together or a platform closer to the wall. Lastly, I will probably take some of mine and put lightweight carpet on them for furniture moving.
Thanks for the video! Side question, what is the name for the waistcoat you're wearing? I'm quite into all the pockets it has!
Hi! That vest is made by Filson. They make great products. Made in Seattle. 🙌✨
The spring was my problem. Thanks very much for your helpful information! 👍
Pythagoras. Choose your poison. Metres or yards.
You should also mention you can install this wrong so when your door is locked and hit the schlage button . The door will unlock
Had this issue just fixxed it, thank you so much
I absolutely love making this bag! I made 2 of them a few years ago for my older boys who were going away to work at summer camp for the summer, and today I came back to your video and made one for my third son going away to work at the same camp for the summer. Thank you for the clear instructions that I could easily follow along with.
That’s so awesome! 🙌 I loved reading your note here. So cool that all your boys have a bag that you made. That’s great! 🙌✨😊
Would this work better If the copper was wrapped around both front and back sides of the fan
This was a big help!
worked! Thanks so much.
Great vid I followed along and bought those pads. Hey question - opinion on using the much cheaper polycrylic topcoat instead of the wipe on poly ? It’s like 1/3 the price and seems to do same/similar job? Appreciate you! 🫶🏻
Looks fab. Can I use it to weatherproof untreated pine for outdoor use do you think?
So out of 219 people I’m the only one whose spring won’t hold tension and pops off again after using it once. That sucks so bad.😢
I'm finishing up a tree stump table and I have enjoyed watching your process, thank you. 3M thanks you too $1,800 later for the PAPR but I really appreciate you introducing it to me! I am curious why you don't just leave the epoxy resin top as final coat. Why the wipe on poly?
Mine works once after I put it together then stops working. It’s the spring keeps slipping past the nub.
Nice job. Thank you.
Thanks for the video Jon, you put tears in my eyes from laughing at the barber story, good ending to a great video.
Thank you for the video. I recently purchased a used 1/32-1/2 Albrecht in good condition but when I took it apart to inspect and clean it, it had NO ball bearings...all gone...and quite a bit of grease everywhere...it was really sluggish to twist. After careful cleaning, it looks to be ok, amazing that it spun rather nicely on the machined surfaces. The ball races look undamaged and so I will need to acquire 25 balls. Do you know what size those balls are? Also, there is no marking on the taper end, but the "other" chuck that sold at the same time and was stated as the same size and had a box that showed "Nr. 130 B 16". I bought a B16 shank that seems to fit but would like to verify before "pounding" it in. I will try to measure the taper with a bore gage and calculate to see if it's close. Thanks again.
I have found that the balls are 4mm. They are available at several sites including McMaster, MSC, and Amazon. I opted for 316L Stainless from Amazon due to quick and free delivery. The taper was verified as B16 by measuring the diameter of the large opening and using a table of DIN and Jacobs tapers.
Thanks for the clear and concise info
I really needed to see this thank you
Yea when hardware was cheap....
It only work if your winch is direceted in right direction like drill, other way you cannot tigthen the head
Awesome video! I just got a huge white oak cookie that I look forward to doing this in about three years but not sure what to do with it to hopefully keep the bark on and prevent as much cracking as possible. I know the cracking is inevitable but if I can mitigate that it would be nice. Any recommendations? It will probably live in a shed for the indefinite future and I will check to make sure there is no mold or whatever. Any advice is very helpful! Thanks
Make under cut in stump, tree won't jump so far
Good man
Thanks! Fixed both my locks which would make solenoid noise but not engage the deadbolt. Spring was just bound up now they work great.
Much appreciated!! My problem was the larger spring under the plastic 'C' shaped part operated by the solenoid. Removed the part, spring 'relaxed' (?) and everything working normally again!! The symptom was the spring wouldn't release and the lock was 100% engaged from inside and outside - anyone could open the dead bolt at any time. I can now return the new replacement I bought unopened - thanks you you, Jon !
Please.. I could not find a pipe bending machine like this in our country.. So the idea is to make one like it and I would like to know what is the distance between the holes for each pipe and its diameter please.
Im doing Tung oil and pine tar.
I have model consew 300
Jon is quickly approaching the Bob Ross status of Wire ASMR.
Excellent vid. I enjoyed watching.
THANK YOU!!!
I really appreciate this video wiring up my second machine with this electrical box!
Thank you! It was the spring and it worked. Just curious though if we will have to do this every year or so?
One of the best tools of the 21st century
Thanks, I HAVE SCISSORS everywhere for certain jobs and I LIKE TO KEEP THEM SHARP!
Great music! And… nice project.
Ya there has been 20ft diameter spruce cut on Vancouver island so it’s not the biggest ever !
Thank you for a detailed video.
Fire
Thank you…great bag..easy directions
Great advice, everyone should have a PAPR. My company has been at work on a PAPR that's simpler (all in one design monocoque manifold). Our aim is a PAPR that's more accessible to the DIY crowd. When we have certification, would you be willing to give it a try to compare? Its called MicroClimate Air3.
what size board do you have on the top header? is that a 2x4?
Great video .Thanks but why didnt you steal el-powere from the sewing mashine ?
Brah! Thank you! It was the solenoid spring for me and it fixed it! I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated this video. You saved me a new lock!
Here is what you should have measured. The temperature drop across the fan. Typical AC unit has a 20 degree TD. Run it too cold and you will spend all your ice removing humidity out of the air. You need to measure the humidity in the room and shoot for a 50% humidity, again to save ice. 50% to 60% is the high comfortable range. To change your TD, change your fan speed and your pump speed, You need a bigger pump with a variable flow, clamp. Measure your water temperature in and out. You can add salt to the water to run a lower temperature. That you are doing is exactly what an AC does with a water cooling tower does. You could have your system sealed between the ice and the line. I was guessing you needed about a 6000 BTU/hr AC unit to cool a room. So your calcs are close. At 4000, that is a 4000/12000 = 1/3 tons of ice per day. Or (4000/12000)*2000/24=27.8 lbs of ice per hour. It appears your unit was not putting out 4000 BTU per hour. Bigger fan and pump and a lot more ice.
